Mobile Ordering

If you learn nothing else from our website this is the one thing we want you to know inside and out to make the most of your day at Disneyland. Mobile ordering your food will save you time, hassle, stress, and from inevitable hangry meltdowns from all ages while in the park.

Step one:

Download and familiarize yourself with the Disneyland App. (This may be even more important than mobile order since you can’t do much of anything without this.) Make yourself a Disney account if you haven’t already. Your Disney account works for all Disney platforms, (when I went to Disney World and downloaded the WDW app, I logged in with my normal Disneyland account and it is all connected.) You can scan your tickets, make park reservations, use Genie+, navigate the park, find wait times, link your Magic Band +, locate restrooms, make dining reservations, find showtimes, and of course, MOBILE ORDER.

Step two:

We suggest thinking about what you want to eat a little before wanting to eat. A lot of locations have immediate return windows, but if you are trying to order at peak mealtimes you may have to wait an hour before being able to pick up your food so it is important to start thinking about your next meal about an hour before you are ready to eat if possible.

Step three:

Decide where you would like to eat. The app has a new feature that will let you click on “available now” so if you ARE in a hurry to eat you can filter out locations with long wait times. Once you decide on a location you can select “Begin Order” for the soonest return time. If you want to select a window further out, we find the easiest thing is to search the dining location in the search bar, click “order food” and it will provide you with all of the available return times all day long. Once you select your return window you can pick your food and pay.

Notes on payment types: You will be charged at the time you check out. If, for any reason you decide to cancel your order, you will be refunded. However, if at any point you select “i’m here, prepare my order” no refunds will be made. We suggest having a credit card on file for the easiest check out process. You can use gift cards to purchase on the app but it doesn’t save the card on file and you will need to reenter the number each time you check out. We usually write the card number out one time in the notes section on our phone and then copy and paste to save time.

Step 4:

Once you are within 5 minutes of your return window you can check in. Click, “I’m here, prepare my order” and the restaurant will get to work. If you get stuck on a ride you do have a grace period to pick up your food. If your phone is no longer letting you say you have arrived, simply walk up to the mobile order window and let the cast member know you missed your window and show them your order number so they can prepare it for you. This is for guests who have extenuating circumstances, and shouldn’t be the norm. Please plan to arrive in your order window if at all possible.

You do have the option to move your order window up until the window begins. Say your pick up window is 9:00-9:30 and you are stuck in line for Indiana Jones at 8:55 and you know you won’t make it back in time, simply click “change arrival window” and bump your window back to a reasonable time.

Step 5:

A push notification will tell you when your order is ready to pick up, it will give you a pick up window number and your order number. Simply walk up to the correct window, show or tell the cast member your order number and voila! you just waited in line for Indiana Jones while waiting for your food instead of waiting in a long line just to order.

Step 6:

Enjoy your meal and all of the time, stress, and child meltdowns you just saved yourself by being prepared and learning how to mobile order ahead of time.
