Fantasmic Dining Packages
Dining packages for Fantasmic are a great way to see the show front and center. There are three different dining package options and we are here to guide you through each one to help you figure out which one (if any) are right for you. The three restaurants offering a dining package are Rancho del Zocalo, River Belle Terrace, and Blue Bayou. Every location has a prefix menu that is very limited or completely impossible to substitute pieces that you may not like. It is a flat cost for each person, children (3-9) and Adults (10+). Children 2 and under are free. Be aware that everyone in your party that is going to sit in the reserved viewing area must have a dining package ticket (pictured below). This counts for anyone over 2 years old in your party, regardless of whether or not they are interested in eating the food offered at the restaurant. (This is sometimes tricky for families with picky eaters, etc. because it can feel like you don’t get your “money’s worth,” but we have done it with our picky eaters and felt that the value is there, despite what they were or were not willing to eat from the food choices offered.) Magic key discounts DO apply to these packages.
They also all require a reservation made in advance. You can search reservations exactly 60 days ahead of time under “Fantasmic Dining Packages” in the Disneyland app. If you don’t snag the one you want at first, keep checking back as reservations often open up as you get closer to travel. We also feel like the first showing at 9:00 has more value because it is much more crowded for that show. If you are wanting to watch the second show, you may not need a dining package as it is easier to stake out a spot on your own by then, so keep that in mind as you are booking.
Rancho Del Zocalo
This option is great for those who:
-Would like to save money
-Don’t want to spend a bunch of time on a sit down restaurant
Cost: $35 Adults, $25 for children and includes an entree, drink, and dessert.
We spoke to cast members at the restaurant, this meal seems to be the most flexible of the three dining packages. Each meal comes with rice, beans, and potato salad. These can all be substituted for more or less of an item. If you only like rice, you can replace your beans and salad with just rice. This is particularly helpful for picky eaters and kids.
Seating for this package is to the left of center in front of the Rivers of America. This view is definitely less center than River Belle or Blue Bayou, but still offers a great, front row view.
River Belle Terrace
River Belle Terrace offers a 3-course meal that includes a drink, starter, entree, and dessert.
This option is great for those who:
-Would like a nicer, larger meal
-Enjoy a sit down dining experience and break in their day. (We selected a 2 PM dining spot and it was a great time of day to sit down and take a break from the crowds and heat.
Cost: $55 Adults, $30 for children
We tried this package in person on the first day it was available on May 24, 2024. This review includes a few kinks we struggled with that have hopefully since been worked out, but we can only speak to our specific experience.
First, we chose a “brunch” time slot as our party was interested in some of the options only offered at that time. The current Disneyland website and reviews say they serve brunch until 3:55 and Dinner begins at 4:00. When we arrived at 2:05 we were presented with a Dinner menu, and despite it being printed everywhere else, were told that brunch ended at 2:00 PM. If one menu or the other is important to you, please plan to grab a slot before 2PM for brunch, and after 2PM for dinner.
Our starters we all delicious. We were able to try all of them and there were no complaints.
The entree options start to limit your choices due to the southern style of food, everything offered has some sort of spice so if you are not one who can handle much heat, we would suggest the pasta or maybe pick a different dining location.
The dessert options are a cherry cobbler (cherry pie filling sprinkled with granola and topped with ice cream) or a cherry/blue raspberry pudding with popping candy (our pudding didn’t have any pop rocks.) We didn’t really enjoy our desserts, unfortunately, and they mostly went to waste.
Pictures of our meal are at the top of this page.
Seating for this package is to the right of center in front of the Rivers of America.
River Belle Terrace Premium Dining Package
This dining reservation is for a seated reservation on the Terrace at River Belle. You will have a reserved table and you can stay there through the end of the first Fantasmic show. You can reserve this package by selecting the 7:15 time slot on the Fantasmic Dining reservation section in the Disneyland App.
Cost: $89 per adult, $45 for children
This menu is different than the Standard River Belle dining package. It includes items such as fried chicken, pot roast, brisket, and pork belly. It also includes a starter, drink, and dessert.
This is a good option for those who would like to stay seated at their table for the show. Keep in mind that it is further back from the water and behind a walkway where you will have people crossing in front of you throughout the show.
Blue Bayou
There is also a Blue Bayou Dining Package being offered this summer as well.
Cost: $89 per adult, $45 dollars per child.
We have never tried this dining option, but we feel that the viewing area is pretty similar to the River Belle dining package option, so we haven’t been as interested in this choice, personally. You do get a five-part offering when you do the Blue Bayou option (as well as a commemorative souvenir cup), but make sure you check the menu and see if the food items being offered are ones you are interested in before deciding on this package. It is not for picky eaters. (Photo from Disney Eats/Disneyland Instagram dining package announcement)
