The Viv

1601 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Viv Hotel in Anaheim. This property is absolutely top of the Line. It boasts high-end finishings, excellent amenities, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, outstanding restaurant options, friendly staff and lots more.

Overview:

This is a very family-friendly hotel. As you walk in, you’ll find a lobby decorated with oversized artwork, a fun gift shop, a quick-service cafe, and Valencia’s, a restaurant with classic food options as well as a kids menu. Just off of the lobby you’ll find the hotel grounds, which has a fenced-in pool area, splash pad and hot tub. There are corn hole games for the kiddos on the patio, tie-fighter chairs, and more. Your family will enjoy “Disney Inspired” touches throughout the property: There are Storm Trooper statues in the Lobby, an entire wall of Disney lego mini-figures, and artwork throughout each room that has touches of Disney infused into it. The other great perk to this location is that it does offer rooms with bunk beds, and they often are running promotions with our partners at Get Away Today that will give you your fourth night free or other similar perks when you book this property.

Dining:
The Viv has some amazing restaurant options, including Melody’s Cafe connected to the lobby, which is perfect for picking up your morning coffee on the way to the parks. It also has a rooftop restaurant called “The Top of the V” where you can enjoy epic views of the nearby resort, delicious food and cocktails, and a wonderful atmosphere to close out your night. There is also a restaurant on the main floor called Valencia’s. This is a family friendly location that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. This restaurant is connected to the outside patio which houses the main pool, and you can order food from the restaurant and eat at the poolside cabanas, and also order drinks from the bar that faces outward toward the pool (as well as offering indoor seating). Make sure when you visit Valencia’s to notice their very unique artwork; each stacked art piece features the main color palette of a different classic Disney movies. Your kids will love trying to guess which color scheme matches each of their favorite Disney films!

Location:

This hotel is located close to the Disneyland Resort, but on the opposite side of the I-5 Freeway. Currently there is no designated shuttle option from this property, but there is an ART bus stop that pulls right in front of the hotel. It comes about every 20 minutes, and you can track the bus using the A-Way We Go app on your phone. Because we didn’t have kids with on this particular visit and our time was quite limited, we opted to get an Uber for our trips to and from the park, but if we had kids with we would definitely have been utilizing the ART stop while staying at this property.
