If you are looking for a great spot for your family to stay while you visit Universal Studios Hollywood, the Springhill Suites by Marriott might be the perfect fit for you. We have six people in our family, so finding a hotel room that is big enough for us to all stay together can be tough. This location has rooms with two queen beds as well as a sleeper sofa, so all six members of our family had a great place to sleep.

I was a bit concerned when we booked this stay about the distance to Universal Studios from the hotel, but in reality it was a really quick Uber or Lyft ride to and from the park. In the morning, we went to Universal Studios in time for Early Entry into Super Nintendo World, so we left our hotel around 6:50 AM and got to the Universal Studios ride share drop off by a few minutes after 7:00 AM. We had plenty of time to get through security, take photos in front of the Universal globe, and get into the parks before they started walking guests down to the Early Entry location.

On the way back to the hotel at night, we just went to the same place we were dropped off and called an Uber, and although traffic was a bit heavier in the evening than it had been in the morning, we were back to our hotel within about 20 minutes from being picked up. Not a bad ride at all!

We always love staying at Springhill Suites locations because they are always roomy and clean, and they also serve complimentary breakfast. This location starts breakfast service on the weekends at 7:00AM and on weekdays at 8:00AM. Because we were doing Early Entry at Universal, we weren’t able to take advantage of this perk on this visit, but the dining and breakfast area looked great from what we could tell.

The night we got in, we arrived quite late and our kids were hungry. We walked into the connected bar/restaurant area and ordered pizza and chicken tenders for the kids, and enjoyed some family time playing Jenga at the lounge area while we waited. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and accomodating—we have absolutely nothing bad to say about this location, it was a terrific stay.

The grounds of this hotel are also excellent, with a great pool and pool deck area, an outdoor fire pit, a small convenience store off of the lobby, a bar/restaurant, and more.
