When to Visit

Visiting Disneyland with kids can be effected by weather and crowds more than going with friends or teens as kids have less patience for discomfort.

We would avoid the parks at these specific times if you have kids…

Age Newborn-age 4:

-Anytime there will be excessive rain. Your stroller will be constantly wet and your baby/toddler won’t have as much time to be out of the stroller because you will be covering them up all day.

-Anytime there is excessive heat. Babies and small children have a hard time regulating their temperature so going in the hottest parts of the year would be discouraged for ultimate enjoyment.

Age 4-12:

-These kids are a bit more resilient. We wouldn’t necessarily avoid the parks with kids these ages, but be aware that they may have more needs with inclement weather or high crowds. Plan extra breaks, extra clothing, extra sunscreen or cooling fans to keep everyone comfortable and dry.

Teens:

-I wouldn’t avoid any time of year with teens except maybe the highest crowd times as they may get frustrated when their favorite high adrenaline rides have higher wait times than they would like.
