Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon

Walt Disney World® is not just about theme parks; it also offers two incredible water parks, each with its own unique theme and attractions. Here’s everything you need to know about Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.

Blizzard Beach is a ski resort-themed water park that "melted" into a watery wonderland. Highlights include the thrilling Summit Plummet—one of the tallest and fastest freefall slides in the world—along with Teamboat Springs, a family raft ride, and the relaxing Cross Country Creek lazy river. There’s also Tike’s Peak for little ones, offering kid-sized slides and play areas.

Typhoon Lagoon is themed around a tropical paradise hit by a typhoon, creating a watery adventure filled with wave pools, water slides, and a sandy beach. Must-try attractions include Miss Adventure Falls, a thrilling family raft ride, Crush 'n' Gusher, a water coaster, and the massive Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool. For a more relaxed experience, float down the Castaway Creek lazy river.

Transportation: Guests can reach Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are accessible by bus from all Disney resorts. Currently, there are no Monorail, Skyliner, or boat services to this park. Parking cost: Free parking is available for all guests.

Operational Hours: Generally open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though hours may vary with the season.

Extra Magic Hours and After Hours: While Typhoon Lagoon does not offer Extra Magic Hours or After Hours events, starting January 6th, 2025, resort guests can take advantage of free entry to Typhoon Lagoon on their arrival day. This perk allows you to dive into the fun as soon as you arrive, making the most of your Disney experience from day one.
