We have stayed at the HoJo a handful of times now, and we also hosted our Main Street Retreat event there during Spring of 2023. We love this property and have always had a pleasant stay. The location is great, the staff is wonderful, and the property has the perfect “vibe” for your Disneyland or Anaheim vacation!

If you want an updated building, make sure to explain that when you call to book your stay, or make sure you are booking building 1 or 2 when booking online. The other buildings on the property have cheaper room options but have not been updated—it’s definitely worth it to splurge for the renovated buildings. They are also closer to the pool.

Speaking of the pool, it is so cute! With bright yellow umbrellas, clear water, and lifeguards on duty (check the sign to be sure) you are going to have the best time swimming on a hot Anaheim afternoon! There is also a separate gated kiddie pool area with splash pad/slides, etc. Swimming is our favorite “non-park day” or “arrival day” activity.

The rooms are themed brightly, beds are super comfy, there's plenty of room to get ready in the morning and nice lighting in the bathrooms. You can get balloon animals at the front desk, and on weekends they offer free face painting for little kids by the lobby area (Saturdays--ask the front desk for details).

The hotel will take your luggage and store it if it isn't time for you to check into your room when you arrive. They will also hold it on the last day when you check out if you have a later flight and want to explore the parks or Downtown Disney. There is a great little market for essentials, souvenirs, etc right by the lobby.
