California Inn Anaheim

909 S Harbor Blvd. Anaheim CA 92805

The California Inn Anaheim is a newly-renovated hotel that opened to guests in August of 2023. It has several room types available including king rooms, double-queen rooms, and king rooms with twin bunk beds. You can see all the room types available by clicking HERE.

We enjoyed our stay at the California Inn. Highlights of the trip included friendly staff and well-appointed rooms with clean, comfortable beds. The bathrooms were spacious and clean, with excellent water pressure and endlessly-available hot water in the shower.

There is a mini-fridge in each room, and the cleaning staff leaves complimentary snacks in each room and replenishes them daily. Daily maid service is also available upon request—you just have to put your little sign on the doorknob before you leave for the day that indicates you’d like your room tidied.

The hotel has great fireworks views in the evenings from the parking lot, so if you aren’t in the parks when fireworks are going on, make sure you step out of your room and enjoy them on fireworks nights from the hotel!

There are fun yard games placed on the grounds for families to enjoy, bright murals for cheerful family photo backdrops, and the overall feel of the hotel is very welcoming and homey. String lights in the evening add to the overall vintage “boutique hotel” vibe that this property has.

How to get to/from Disneyland:

1. If you drive or rent a car we would plan to drive from the hotel and park at a Disney location (either a parking garage or the Toy Story lot.). Parking fees apply at Disneyland. The hotel charges $10 a night for parking.

2. The Orange County bus system (OC Bus) has a bus stop right outside this hotel. For more information on this service, visit the OC Bus Website here. Make sure you have bus passes purchased in advance, as the OC Bus only accepts cash or bus passes to board. One-way passes are $2 per adult, day passes are $5 per adult, or $4.50 if purchased online in advance. Children under 5 ride free with a paying adult.

3. Ride Share options like Lyft or Uber cost about $7.50 each way for 1-4 people.

Take in to account strollers as you plan transportation, you will need to fold down any strollers you have with you before getting on a bus or in a car.

How to book your stay:

This hotel is not one of the properties currently offered by our partners at Get Away Today, so you won’t find it in our regular Get Away Today booking link. You can book your stay at the California Inn Anaheim via their website or call and book over the phone. Because it is a new property, their nightly rates are very competitive and fair. If you are looking for a place to stay on a bit of a budget, this would be a great property to give a try!

Questions about this property? Feel free to message us on Instagram, or reach out the California Inn via their website or social media. They are very responsive and friendly! If you book with them, make sure to let them know we sent you—we’d love to know that our review helped make a difference in your decision to book!
