Basic Rundown:
If you haven’t been to Walt Disney World in several years, you need to know all about the new way Lightning Lanes are run. It has changed drastically over the last few years, and unfortunately, it is no longer a free service Walt Disney World provides.
Let’s back up to the basics though:
What is it?: Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Walt Disney World is essentially the ability to reserve a return time for a later time, so that when you arrive at an attraction, you don’t have to wait in the longer queue, you go through what’s called the “Lightning Lane.”
Do I need it?: This question has a lot of answers. No, you do not NEED it to be in the park and enjoy your park day. However, it can drastically cut down your wait times for certain attractions and is another tool Disney implements to help you cater your day to how YOU would like to spend your day. If waiting in long lines is something you can’t handle or simply don’t want to, Lightning Lane might be the splurge for you.
How much does it cost?: Lightning Lane Multi Pass costs anywhere from $15-$39 per person per day.
