How do I purchase Lightning Lane?

Depending on where you are staying while at Walt Disney World depends on when you can purchase your Lightning Lanes for your trip.

Who can book, when?:

On Property Resort Guests: It doesn’t matter if you are staying in a Deluxe, Moderate, or Value resort, you will be allowed to purchase your Lightning Lanes 7 days before the first day you arrive at your resort. (7 days before your arrival, not 7 days before your first park day) starting at 7AM Eastern.

All other guests: If you are staying anywhere off property, you can purchase Lighting Lanes 3 days before your first Park Day. Your tickets are date based and you can schedule Lightning Lane 3 days before the first valid day of use.

How do I purchase it?:

All Lighting Lane purchases are made through the My Disney Experience app. If you do not have this app downloaded, you will want to do so now. This app is where you can virtually check in to your resort, mobile order food, make dining reservations, and of course, book your Lightning Lanes.

In the app you will select the section with three lines, bottom right hand corner, and then select Lighting Lane Passes. This is where you can purchase all Lighting Lane options. Keep in mind ALL Lighting Lane options are nonrefundable.

Lighting Lane Multi Pass: Gives you access to multiple rides in each park. You may schedule 3 rides when you purchase, and can carry 3 Lighting Lanes at a time throughout your park day subject to availability. The cost ranges from $15-$39 per person per day.

Lightning Lane Single Pass: There are certain attractions in each park that require an additional purchase if you want to go through the Lighting Lane. These rides are one time use and cost between $11-$25 per person. If you choose to purchase a one time use, you will schedule an arrival window for that ride when you purchase.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass: This pass allows you to ride each eligible ride in a theme park one time, anytime you’d like. The benefit to this pass is you do not have to schedule return times you just get to show up at the ride any time that works for you. It is the most flexible pass, but the most expensive. This pass cost between $129-$449 per person per day.

Once you have purchased your pass, you will be directed to a ride selection page. For best strategies for which Lightning Lanes to book for each park, refer to our other pages.
